Marks, Crew Head for Monster Mile

Mooresville, NC (05-25-2008) – Raybestos Rookie of the Year contender Justin Marks will have a truly new experience when he puts the no. 9 Germain Motor Company Tundra on track at Dover International Speedway on Friday. Marks has never been to the “Monster Mile.” Crew chief Jason Overstreet, however, has been part of successful runs at Dover, and Marks teammate Todd Bodine is a three-time winner on the race track. Hopefully with these aces, Marks can come out a winner against the odds in Friday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series’ AAA Insurance 200 at Dover.

“I look forward to racing at Dover because it’s such a unique track and it produces great, action-packed racing. I’m excited I have a teammate with a lot of experience and success there that I can lean on,” said Marks, driver of the no. 9 Germain Motor Company Tundra. “Dover is another new track for me - another one to mark off my list of new experiences. I can’t wait.”

Crew chief Jason Overstreet absolutely loves to race at Dover. He can’t get enough of the high-speed action on the one-mile circuit.

“I get excited everytime I go to Dover. It’s an aggressive, high-banked, fast action race track and I just love going there. I’ve had some successful runs there and I look forward to working with Justin and helping him get comfortable in the no. 9 Germain Motor Company Tundra at the ‘Monster Mile,’” said Overstreet.

Having veteran teammate Todd Bodine, a three-time winner at Dover, will help Marks accelerate the learning curve on Thursday.

“Salem and Winchester have high banking, and I’ve been on concrete at Nashville, but, from what I understand, there’s nothing like Dover. I plan on talking to Todd a lot about the track before we put the no. 9 Germain Motor Company Tundra on track on Thursday,” said Marks.

Marks has been in the mix for the Raybestos Rookie of the Year honors and looks forward to meeting with the media to talk about this season’s exciting rookie battle on Thursday night.

“Thursday night is the Third Annual Raybestos Rookie Dinner at Dover. I am looking forward to talking with members of the media about the Rookie of the Year battle. It’s been a very competitive battle and we’ve only completed seven races – I don’t look for it to get any easier for any of us,” said Marks.
