Marks Feels Comfortable at Milwaukee

Mooresville, NC (06-16-2008) – When the no. 9 Construct Corps Tundra takes to the track on Friday morning, driver Justin Marks hopes the track feels as good on radial tires as it did on bias-ply tires. Marks, a member of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series rookie class of 2008, has raced Milwaukee twice in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. Last year he finished 2nd after leading 59 laps. This year, Marks will run his first ever Truck Series race at Milwaukee in Friday night’s Camping World RV Sales 200.

“I’m excited about getting back to The Milwaukee Mile because I ran really well there last year and led a bunch of laps. The track races really well. It’s fun and unique. It’s in a cool town. I feel like I can get around The Milwaukee Mile pretty good and I’m anxious to see what we can do with the Construct Corps Tundra there,” said Marks, of Rocklin, CA.

Marks anticipates a learning curve on the Goodyear radial tires at The Milwaukee Mile.

“Milwaukee racing requires a different technique. It’s a flat track – but I know I’ve got some learning to do when we put the Construct Corps Tundra on track on Friday. The two times I’ve raced at Milwaukee have been on bias-ply tires. I’ve not been there on a radial tire, so that will be a new experience,” said Marks.

In addition to racing action at the historical one-mile race track, Marks and fellow racers will match up with the media for a night of bowling.

“I’m looking forward to bowling with the media on Thursday night in the Fifth Annual Milwaukee Mile NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Bowling Bonanza. It’s a great opportunity that Toyota puts together with the race track for drivers in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and the media to get together, bowl and have fun,” said Marks.
